After meeting Glyn Pitchford at a CSR event, we were instantly interested in The Birmingham Big Art Project. Aiming to raise £2 Million, the objective of the Project is to commission and install an iconic piece of public art that is high quality and innovative as a permanent fixture to the city.
Concerned with community engagement, culture and well-being, the project aspires to gain international recognition and put Birmingham on the world’s cultural map.
We naturally wanted to be involved with the marketing and visual aspects of the campaign. We recently finished the Big Birmingham Art Project charity video featuring the likes of Jasper Carrot and other iconic figures across Birmingham. The aim is for it to be shown to potential funding bodies and corporate sponsors, to aid in the fundraising of £2m.
The original website was outdated with an unpleasant user experience and interface. In order to reflect the artistic nature of the project, ALCMY were commissioned to create a new website, brand guidelines and a video to capture the essence of the city.
THE FINAL OUTCOME
We created a website that was artistic and visually appealing whilst providing a great user experience. We incorporated larger images, a modern, sleek theme and clear call to actions such as a “Donate” button, to ensure the website appeared credible and to encourage an increase in donations. Check out the website for yourself at: www.birminghambigartproject.org.uk
The video was a raging success. The client was extremely pleased with the product and the video and website combined led to an increase in impressions, donations and corporate sponsorship.
